At Smith Memorial United Methodist Church, our mission statement is simple:  Serving God, Serving Others.

You may be asking, "What does that mean?" Serving God means following Jesus. It means being intentional about going where Jesus would go and spending time with those with whom Jesus would have spent time. This leads to the other part, Serving Others. As we go where Jesus would go, we serve all and work to build up God's kingdom. 

At Smith Memorial United Methodist Church, we are cultivating a caring community with open hearts, minds, and doors, where God’s love is shared and everyone is valued. We want all God's children to find a place at Smith Memorial United Methodist Church. We may not agree on everything, but we are committed to loving and valuing each other as beloved Children of God united in mission and ministry.
